Welcome to Android Central!

You could try wiping the cache in Recovery (or if that doesn't work try a factory reset).

[INFO]Cache Wipe:

1. Boot into recovery. I don't own a S3, so I'm not sure the specific way to do it, but it generally involves holding down certain buttons on boot-up. Often, a Google search for "boot [phone model] to recovery" will get your answer for you.

2. Clear the cache partition. This is like a "temp" directory on your Android system, and is also where the updates are downloaded to for staging. If you have a corrupt update download mucking things up, this will remove it. Wiping the cache will NOT remove any user apps or data, and is generally a pretty harmless procedure.

3. Reboot the phone normally.

Raf,
Do you have any 3rd party 'phone' apps (ex. Skype) installed?

Since it's only (?) happening with the Phone app, you could try this before performing a Factory Reset - go to Settings -> Application manager -> swipe right until you get to the ALL tab -> scroll down until you find the Phone app, and select it -> select the 'Clear cache' and 'Clear data' buttons.

If that doesn't help, go to Settings -> Application manager, press the Menu button and select 'Reset app preferences' (note: this will clear all of your default app selections).

BTW, does this only happen when you receive a call or also when you attempt to make a call; or does it happen as soon as you open the Phone dialer?
