I've been looking on Craigslist for one and they all say AT&T/T-Mobile. So I went and looked at one, dropped my SIM in and couldn't get 3G because it was a T-Mobile phone.

How many different phones are there? Were the early released phones for a single carrier only, then they released a version that works with both?

Other than booting with my AT&T SIM, is there a way I can tell if the phone will work on AT&T 3G (Different model number)?

Thanks

part of it is last letter:

a - att
t - tmo
s - sprint

the other part might be individual model numbers. you might search the sprint nexus forum, ourt the www...

You have to buy the "a" version, to get the ATT 3G bands.

The Nexus S for ATT bands is GT-I9020A
