I need an MHL-to-HDMI cable? I want to play games, no latency?

I like to play emulators on my Note3 using a bluetooth controller, but the screen size is often too small for my eyes.. I sometimes find myself squinting. I want to connect my Note3 to my HDTV, so that i can play on it instead. I need a certain cable to do this, but am afraid to buy the wrong one.

I've read online that i need an 'Active', 11 pin MHL-to-HDMI cable. I was planning on charging this cable using a 2A tablet charger. The issue I'm concerned with most is latency, I want the experience to be 100% lagless, especially if its going to be a wired connection.

People seem to have more success in a 720p experience. My tv is 1080p, and I'm not sure if this can be toned down to 720p. I think the Note3 is also 1080p, but I'm not sure if there is any way to turn the output down. I might be able to change some video settings inside my emulator, but I'm not sure if i can adjust the output resolution.

Oh, there is also the issue in choosing between MHL 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0.

Can someone point (or link) me to the right cable?

Then don't use a cellphone. You'll get visible latency, no matter what you do. (You'll get measurable latency even with a supercomputer, but a microsecond won't bother you - there's no such thing as "no latency". Your eyes have an inherent latency of 1/15th second.)

Because there's less data, so it's faster to send it.

It is, and unless the game is 720p, you're going to be sending 1080p to the TV.

That would be the only possibility - if the emulator can do it.

3.0, if you're going to go that route. Personally, I'd go with Chromecast. The note 3 will cast (mirror) using Chromecast (not a guess, I have a Note 3 and use Chromecast to a 1080p TV), and the latency is minimal. (And if you can't take even that much, the app is free and you can return the Chromecase within about 15 days at Walmart, no questions asked. (The instructions [it's pretty evident, but just in case] for casting with the app are at Chromecast mirroring.) No cable, no restriction of movement, no one tripping over anything, and your microUSB port is pen for an OTG cable and a mouse (or a mouse and a keyboard, if you use a microUSB OTG 2-port hub).

Let's not get too technical, i meant 100% as if i was using the actual device. Because this is a wired connection, anyone would expect more from this type of connection.

I would go with a Chromecast, but its wireless. I've seen Youtube vids of people gaming on them, but it shows an obvious ~0.25-0.5sec lag.
