I need help disabling pop-up notifications in Samsung Note 5

My Samsung Note 5 had the most recent software update and ever since I cannot remove pop-up notofications. It is only possible to get rid of them by disabling notifications or having them on silent. I want to know when I receive a message but don't want to see it. I tried selecting "no pop-up" in Whatsapp but it's still there. Help please!

Hi... am having the same prob. This might help. It helps mine tho. No pop ups... but still receiving notification sounds..Go to setting...notification...advance notification. Thts where you can choose which apps to stop them from popping up. Hope it works
