I am not a small guy but I don't have super thick wrists. What size did you guys go with? I used to have an Apple watch but switched over a year ago to Android full time and I know the large Apple Watch is the same size as the small Moto 360. Not much help locally as they don't have them out to see.

Thanks.

I dont have that big wrist but I bought the 46mm. I think it looks and stands out better. People will easily see it and be amazed with it ha!

Go with the 46mm... the 400mah battery is the main reason.

For size reference, my wrists are flat and bony, 63mm across the bone structure and I can wear either size comfortably.

If you are in the US, you should check out a local Best Buy store to see the different sizes in person (you can also check out the Hauwei, Samsung Gear S2, and Pebble watches). That's what I did and I decided on the smaller 42 mm Moto 360. I know that big oversized watches are the fad now, but I'm an old fashion Timex-wearing guy so I opted for the 42 mm. The 46 mm size would have been too big for my thin wrist.

I'm glad Motorola gave us the option with the different sizes!

For size reference... heres a traditional 42mm watch (bezel diameter) on my 62mm wide wrist. Like the 46mm moto, this watch also has 22mm strap lugs.

Here's the 46mm Gen 2, I have it shown in its bulkiest configuration with a 4 ring zulu strap and field compass. I am a boy scout volunteer so I frequently use it this way. The only time I find it getting in the way is when I try and gear up a ~40 pound pack, and it kind of snags up on the shoulder straps as I put it on. But all my field watches do this.

Get the 46mm. Even my 8-year-old son wears a 46, and he loves it. And it doesn't look out of place on his little wrist.

46. I bought the 42 but it looked stupid. I think it was more the narrower strap that made it look too girly. Returned it for a 46. My wrists are 7.5" in circumference.

The strap makes a big impact. It's what I hate about my Huawei; 18mm is too narrow.

My son modeled his gen 1 for you. That's 46, and it looks nice on him.

... and his is bulked out with a protective case around it. I wish they made those for the Gen 2 !!! Dang thats a NICE kids watch!! with the stap lugs and bracelet setup.

For all the praise the Huawei gets, that 18mm strap is under-sized for an adult. It is nice though that the moto has multiple choices.

PS... I wish I had smaller wrists, anything under ~43mm just looks and feels too small. The other thing to keep in mind too is that your wrist expands and changes shape depending on arm position. When you tip your wrist up to read the time, it is at its smallest. Thats where I get my ~62mm bone structure measurement. When you hold your arm up to smoke a cigar, hold a fire-arm, or flip someone off... your wrist bone structure expands and widens out a little. (I don't do any of those things regularly mind you, I merely mention them because we're all familiar with those arm positions). So in essence, for the most part, you are the only one viewing your watch and wrist at its smallest position (when you read the time). Everyone around you is going to see your watch on a larger/wider wrist position.

Hidden fact #2....
Cameras most often distort images. Particularly the macro settings and shorter focal lengths... typically needed to photograph a watch being worn. So what this means is, 98% of the watch-on-wrist pics you see on the www are being distorted in a way that items even slightly closer to the camera, are going to appear artificially bigger than their relative surrounding objects. So what this means is, any watch can appear artificially HUGE when photographed on the wrist, as compared to real life.

I've got the Women's 42mm version and even though I love it, I will opt for the 46mm if a 3rd Generation watch is released. A bigger screen/battery are the obvious plus points for me. I've got the 42mm as the Rose Gold Colour is simply stunning. I'm hoping Motorola will have that colour option for all watch sizes in the future.

Motorola also have a sizing guide available so you can see how the watch will look on your wrist.

I have the Moto 360 2nd gen for a while now, and I'm glad I got the smaller 42 mm size. It works great and is easy to read on my wrist (even for my over 40 eyes). Battery life is good for my needs, and the watch looks more like a traditional-sized watch when I wear it.

I just got the 46mm and it's great. Plus being a touch screen the larger the better for ease of navigation 1471687482388.jpg1471687488667.jpg
