I need help using my Power Beats with my S III

So as the title suggests, I need help using my Power Beats headphones with my S III. The speakers emit sound, but the volume controls on the cable don't seem to be working at all. I have to use the volume rocker on the device itself to control the volume, which is a pain considering the volume controls on the headphones are there for a reason, and worked effortlessly with my iPhone. Any suggestion here? Thanks for the help.

It's hardware issue not software
If your looking for great sounding headphones with all 3 buttons working
Try urbeats (not ibeats) htc beats solo or Sony smart headset in ear. All buttons work on galaxy s ,nexus and htc from what I tried. They also sound great lol.

Sort of a bummer that it's a hardware issue. I have owned many high end headphones, and surprisingly these have been my favorite. I use them primarily in the gym, and for running and they don't tend to fall out, and sweating on them doesn't seem to be an issue either. Sound quality has always been decent as well. I never really use the mic for voice dialing or anything, so I guess I can live with it.

But can you use beats wiht controltalk with HTC one V beats edition???

Just an update htc beats wireless that comes with a control talk that works on gs3 htc and lumia is sold at AT&T (only white version.) they have black one but don't have a control talk wire for android

Honestly I've just had to get used to no mic or volume controls on my power beats. It's a minor annoyance, but one that I'm used to by now.

List of headset and headphones that work all three buttons & mic
- urbeats (htc ver.not ibeats)
- htc beats solo (pm for just the cable)
- Sony smart headset
- Nocs NS200H-001 (they also have a free app)
Nokia purity (in ear and hd version)

For galaxy s2& 3 the buttons at the end work for volumes and middle is pause/ play (also for Sony android,Nokia lumia and htc windows phone)

For htc android phones the ends buttons are skip track buttons and middle pause/play
