i need help, what can i do

i dropped my fascinate and it has a noticeable crack on the screen. i bought it from amazon with the 1 dollar promotion for a 2 year contract. i have no insurance on it.

i called amazon and the rep send with no insurance from us, contact samsung since its still in the 1 year warranty.

i called samsung. they want 160 for the screen since thats not included in the warranty. i hang up. im not paying 160 to fix the screen.

now, what are my options?

can I get a different phone and transfer my plan from verizon?

either that or I guess I'll stick with the crack on the screen.

There are some places that repair screens on smart phones. You just have to do a search in your area to find one. Not sure what the pricing is like but I'm sure it will be a lot less than $160.

Also check on ebay, you can purchase just the screen and fix it yourself. Search the forum, I believe someone did this a while back

I would pay $160 for the screeen. DYI screens will void your warranty. Did you have a case? If you didnt, get one now.

Unless you have a another line up for renew you would have to buy a new phone a full retail. Or find one off eBay and transffer service over to. Just wondering why one would not have insurance on devise that can cost $600.00 full retail to replace? Just wondering good luck. JT

You can buy any verizon phone from Craigslist or ebay and yes transfer your account on very easily.

or you can purchase the screen and fix it yourself, i have done this with my girlfriends captivate
