I picked up my S3! (I have a few questions)

As some of you may know I made a thread recently about getting my first smartphone and having a hard decision with the S3 or i5 and I went with the S3 and love it!

A few questions:

I have rooted my phone within the first 10-15 minutes of getting it, where do I find custom roms? (good ones or any in general)

Do custom roms update or do I have to install a new one once they have an update?

If I have a custom rom and jellybean comes out, how will that affect me when updating to jellybean? Or updating to any android update as a matter of fact?

Okay. So for your rom it depends on the carrier. Click the carrier that here and you will find it for your phone under the right sub forum.

Second most roms well have an update with the latest software I believe. So you went have to update the phone. Just install the next rom with the update installed. But if you want to start from scratch and get rid of your rom first then I guess that's okay. The other way is probably more efficient though

^ thanks.. also when u install a new rom or kernal does it clean wipe everything? (contacts, etc)

Backup everything with titanium backup. Also download ROM manager (clockwork mod recovery)

Cool, thanks.. how do I install the custom ROM? I downloaded it on my mac. Can I do it through mac?

I did mine on a PC using Odin. I think you can get it for a Mac too. Google should provide a ton of results.
