Hey that's great. Your own improvement is self motivation at it's best. I can remember when I first started running. My beginning 5K time would be a slow marathon pace for me now. Be careful, it can turn into a lifelong habit.
I've been running now for over a year. Keep it up! It gets easier to do and before you know it you will be running 8 minute miles like its a breeze! My wife and I just ran the Disney half marathon last month and the Baltimore half last October. It's fantastic exercise and makes you feel great. Listen to snakeoil and make sure you have a couple of recovery days in your week though. Good luck!
