I recently changed my password on my IPad 2 and stopped receiving emails on my phone. Is there a connection?

I recently changed my password on my IPad 2 and stopped receiving emails on my phone

I've gone back onto my Galaxy s5 to try to change the password but it still won't take it.
I've made various attempts but still no mail
Please help me

Did you change your gmail password from the iPad? Have you tried the password recovery options?
