I recorded an interview on my Samsung Galaxy S10 and the "recording failed"

[Android Central Question]

I used the Samsung Voice Recorder app in Interview mode on my S10 and when I pressed stop and tried to save it, I got a message saying "recording failed". I tried pressing record again which recorded a couple of seconds over the top of my original recording, but still received the same message.

I tried clearing the app's cache but this didn't help. I closed the app and now the recording is gone! I'm really hoping someone can help me get it back!

Try clearing data, cache, and force stop the app.

I've cleared the data, cache and force stopped the app. I still can't seem to recover the recording.
I've searched through all of my folders too, to no avail!

No it's to see if it starts working , I believe what you tried to record didn't record otherwise it would save in internal or sd card storage location.

That's so strange, it had the sound waves like it usually does when you record a voice memo!

It all seems to be working fine now. Just looks like I've lost the recording. Darn!

Glad its working now , sorry you lost them but have the Choice to save to sd card or internal storage

Good point. Is is set to record to SD card ? If so your SD card might be shady.
