I see a very small white colored dot

I see a very small white colored dot whicj is only visible on a black screen. I'm not sure if its a dead pixel because people claim to be only seeing dark spots and not tiny white dots. Also, can dead pixels expand and grow in size... Kind of like a tumour? Help needed urgent so that I can get the screen replaced

There are two pixel defects - dead and stuck. Yours could be a stuck pixel (it's a white one and it's always on). If the phone is new, you might be able to get it replaced with another new one, but a single pixel defect usually isn't covered by the warranty. (But, sometimes, if you ask nicely, they'll give you a refurb exchange on an older, but still in-warranty phone.)
