The Facebook app is terrible. You cannot view photos with it. What other apps have you found are just not up to speed?

I do find the voice recognition is really good even with the Swype keyboard.

Facebook works fine on mine...at least as well as it does on my phone. The FB app does lack in some areas, but it works on my N7.

I've gotta agree with OP. I do wish there were more tablet specific apps and the Facebook app is freaking terrible. I mean, it gets the job done, but leaves much to be desired. With time it will come i suppose. Until then i am still enjoying my device

I just read fb is making their employees use android exclusively until the android apps get better. Yeah the fb app especially on tablets are bad.

May I ask why you're asking what tablet apps are terrible instead of asking what tablet apps are good?

I really wish there were more good tablet widgets, in fact the widgets in general on Android aren't as good as they should be imo. It's one of the main advantages it has over iOS but there's not enough good use made of them.

Desperately needing #tabletapps

The wife has gone back to her iPhone laptop combo. Just wasnt enough reason for a third device. 200 down the drain.

Either you are doing something wrong or I'm doing something right because I rarely touch my laptop and phone since getting my N7. If my tab is handy, the only thing I will pick up my phone for is to make/receive a call. Everything else is done via the tab. Laptop? Forget about digging that out...No need.

I left my N7 at work on Friday and it sucks having to go back to the phone/laptop combo.

Everyone has their preferences I guess.

I'm not a big Facebook fan, but I bought my Mom an N7 to replace her slow as hell notebook PC. She mostly uses Facebook on the N7 and because she's new to Android, I have to constantly help her and show her how to do things.

So I've used the FB app a fair amount on the N7. From what I could tell, the only major difference between the app and the full-sized website (on desktop PC) is that the full-site has the option to hide an individual post or hide all posts from a person.

My Mom constantly complains about stupid FB posts on her wall from her friends/family, so I had to login onto the FB website on the N7 (using Dolphin's desktop mode) and hide away any stupid posts. Then go back into the app and refresh it to make them go away.

The app needs a lot of work, but it is decent enough to use.

It is my understanding that tablet specific apps are designed to take advantage of the larger screen sizes, like the iPad. There isn't much difference between a 3-4 inch screen and a 7 inch screen to even notice a difference.

I would like to see more features added to the Facebook to make it similar to the desktop version. But I can understand that storage space is an issue, but I would like more editing options.

This sounds like buyer's remorse. Did you think about how it would be used prior to purchase? If so, what were the use cases and how did the tablet not work out?

I have found that I use the 7in form factor much more than the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or our iPad. It is enough smaller in size and weight to be truly portable. It has replaced my Nook as my primary reading device and I rarely use the computer at home any more. That said, if I need to do anything that requires large amounts of typing I find something with a real keyboard.

Because if it's good I've probably seen it already. The FACT is the Facebook app doesn't show the Timeline view which means you CANNOT view photo albums at all. Pretty much all you see is wall posts. That's kind of a major problem, don't you think?

I wished there was a few more widgets I struggle to fill up my home screens.

its my understanding the UI on the N7 is more phone-like, than tablet-like. Am I correct? If so, then wouldn't it be a non-starter to be looking for tablet apps?

Friendcaster is nearly perfect as far as FB on the N7 goes.

I too have a hard time finding decent Widgets to fill my homescreens.

For u ESPN fantasy football fans out there. The ESPN fantasy football app doesn't fit the screen well on N7. Its choppy and flickers. I hope they improve this app as this will be my most used app during NFL season.
