Here goes nothing...

I used this to transfer my 1600 pics/vids to my new nexus.

First, I created a folder on my desktop.
Transferred all my pics/vids to that folder.
Opened the folder, hit CTRL+A for select all.
Right click, highlight Send to, Galaxy Nexus.

After doing that, it creates its own folders on the nexus, and everything went perfect.

Once they are on the phone, use a file manager and move them to wherever you want.

I installed the samsung drivers, lost the link though.
Good luck!

Hope it helps, if not, sorry.

I don't have wifi access at my office. So this method works great for me.

One thing I want to mention is that I had to disable USB debugging to get this to work. With USB debugging enabled it would rarely even transfer one file.

I've used AirDroid and it was pretty good. Now I'm trying to give this a try but when I go to Send to I don't see Galaxy Nexus ><

it is weird to see different solutions to this problem. I was having trouble copying music or pictures to my nexus.
i did the following and it hasn't failed since:
enable 'stay awake' in the developer section, enable debug mode and finally install the Samsung usb drivers.
the first time you plug it in, it will detect the nexus and setup the drivers. you should be good after that.

yeah im not seeing send to "galaxy nexus" either?

I've found that if the phone is locked, it will not show up in windows explorer. Unlocking should show you the device and doule-clicking on the GN should let you see the folders. I hope that helps.

do i have to keep the "stay awake" option after the first time? because i don't want it to be on the whole time i'm charging it.

I must admit to some puzzlement on this issue. I created folders on my desktop computer for gnmovies, gnpics, and gnmusic. First time I connected my Nexus Win7 installed the drivers. I opened the gnex, transferred the files to the appropriate folders on the GNex. Never a problem.

Where can one download the samsung drivers? I cant seem to find them....

Edit: Never mind Windows 7 automatically found them...

Turning off USB Debugging allowed me to be able to transfer files after I finished Unlock/Root. Was worried I'd messed something up with the Unlock/Root, but it works fine now!

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but...
Why would anyone want to transfer that many pictures TO their phone? I would think most people would be transferring them off of the phone to not take up space. Am I in the minority here?

Finally got this to work.

For some reason Windows 7 did NOT find the drivers. I had to disconnect the phone, manually download and install the drivers, then plug the phone back in. With USB debugging turned off. Then it would transfer files ONLY if I open the computer folder the files are in and drag them one at a time to the folder on the phone. If I try to open both folders and drag them over as I usually do in Windows 7 it just hangs on transfer.

Oh and if your computer does not 'see' the phone, disconnect, then reconnect. It keeps losing the connection for some reason.
