I think I just deleted all my stuff?

I got my nexus 7 in the mail a couple days ago and have just been messing around with it and all was well until today when I started downloading some apps and customizing the desktop.

I'm not sure exactly did it, but all of the free content that came with the device is now gone. I'm not so much bummed out that I lost the stuff (I've already seen transformers blah blah...), but I'm really just curious as what it could have been that would have wiped it so that I know not to do it in the future.

Some things I have done that may be to blame: plugged it into my computer and went into the data folders, creating a new folder to throw in some PDFs that I have, deleted some of the things off the home screen like google play icons that recommended movies I should watch and the like. I'm thinking it was probably screwing with data files while the tablet was on, but I'm not positive.

If any experts could give me their advice I would really appreciate it.

Also, is it possible to redownload the stuff that comes on the device?

By the way, apps I have gotten from the app store are still there. The only thing missing are the files - like the transformers movie I spent like a day downloading

I just thought of something else. My dad was the first person to use the 7 as he got home before I did and he set up his account first. Well today I deleted his gmail account off the tablet from the settings menu. I imagine this could mess with the sync settings and such.

Ahh, that would be the issue. Possibly the only way to get it back is to factory restore it and sign in with your account this time. You should also get the $25 credit too.
