Frankly I'd wait until Google's May IO where they're supposed to introduce the next gen Nexus 7. Huawei, HTC or LG could be the manufacturer. Why move on and buy something currently out there that's maybe only a gen ahead of the 2013 Nexus 7 ( in my opinion ), when you could wait a bit longer and get something that's running with 2016 specs . I think the price of the next Nexus 7 or 8???? will be closer to your budget as well.
