I think that I've been scammed

I bought a battery off of ebay and the seller said that it was a new oem battery for my fascinate but when I tried to charge it with the phone it came up as "unsupported". The new battery's part number is EB575152VA as compared to the one that came with the phone which is EB575152YZ. So did I just throw $20.00 away or do I need to do something else to charge it. I rooted to debloated EB01 with a battery monitor add on (shows percentage).

Hmmm, thought I (and others) already posted in this thread. I'd contact the seller. You $20 should be safe.

Just in case it comes up again, there are new kernels that will allow you to charge non-oem batteries in the rooting, roms and themes section

my original fascinate battery is numbered as so---- EB575152YZ just as yer numbers read..
now if you bought a over sized battery as i did yer number should be
EB145152YZ..
i hope this helps and if yer battery wont charge ,, then send it back,, if the seller grumbles.. tell Pay Pal,,, you do have a few days to approve of yer buy.. there might be a clause on electronical parts,,
