I updated my HTC One M8 to Lollipop and now its dead, how can I fix this?

i updated my htc one m8 to lollipop and now its ****ed

I did the most recent update android 5.2 and now my messages app closes unexpectedly my phone won't charge and everything is slow.

Try a Cache Partition wipe. It will not cause the loss of any personal data and may fix your problems.

Probably means 5.0.2.

Its generally the update its self. I am no longer using my M8 as my daily phone and have put it in a back up role thanks to Lollipop. It was running great on KitKat. Its like HTC didnt do it justice and Samsung did.. My note 3 is running better then ever on Lollipop. Kinda sad. I loved my M8 till the update.

Try uninstalling or disabling Android System WebView. Some people were reporting problems with that app and their M8 having app crashing problems and running slow. The app has had an update which most people report as fixing the issue. So remove it or maybe update it. See if that helps.

When you say your phone wont charge. Are you saying it doesnt see the charger attached, and there fore not charging. Or is it charging slow, probably because of the rapid battery drain.

Maybe it's carrier specific. My M8 on Verizon, Lollipop 5.0.1 has no issues whatsoever. Phone is running smooth as silk and battery life is fantastic.
