I use my Galaxy S24 for work. Lately my emails from my Samsung email app are getting stuck in my Outbox. I constantly have to clear the cache in the Samsung email app and that seems to help but now it's happening several times a day... ugh.

Any good fix for emails constantly getting stuck in the Outbox?

Welcome to Android Central! What email provider is that account with? Or is it a Microsoft Exchange account?

Have you double-checked to make sure the server settings for that email account (especially the outgoing server settings) are correct?

Yes everything is accurate.

Go to Settings>Apps, select Samsung Mail, and look at its Battery setting -- make sure it's not set to Restricted.

Also, do you have any global power or battery saving features turned on for the phone?

Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?
Mostly on wi-fi that I notice... and by the way thank you for helping.

Another piece of info I can share is with Outlook mail this doesn't happen on my phone ... but I do not like Outlook .. I prefer the Samsung email app much more and only use it in a pinch when those emails get stuck in my Outbox and I need something sent asap.

Ok, and is it with any wi-fi, or only certain networks (like at work)? Just wondering if it could be due to a firewall or wi-fi network throttling put in place by whoever manages it.

Hmm. Ok, log into your router's settings (typically using a website -- check your router's manual to learn how) and see if there are any settings that might impact this. This would include firewalls or QoS (Quality of Service, which might prioritize things like gaming or streaming over other activities).

Just curious, B.Diddy-O, when you go to: Settings > Apps > Samsung app settings > Email.... how do you then find a 'battery setting'?

Don't tap Samsung App Settings. Instead, scroll down and find Email under "Your apps", tap that, then look for the Battery option there.
That's what I did first, but I don't have a battery option.

I believe you're still in the wrong menu. That looks like either the menu associated with the "Samsung App Settings" option, or the menu of the Samsung Email app itself.

Open your system settings, then Apps, then scroll down and tap Email. The subsequent screen should say App Info at the top, and look like the screenshot I previously shared.

I did, and this is all there is:

. . Oh never mind! I found it now! Yes, mine does say 'App info' at top, and I see the 'Battery' now, betwixt the 'Mobile data' and 'Storage', under 'Usage'. Thanks for leading the way, @B. Diddy ! ;)
