I used my new phone for a while before charging, may this shorten battery life??

AC Question

I ve bought an LG G3 and i have left it switched on for about 20-25 minutes before battery charging. I just set up the phone and then the android started to update, so I put the phone immediatelly on the charger. After updating I ve switched the phone off. As I ve been told, I should charge the battery before using a phone for the very first time... Have I possibly caused any damage to the battery?

Lol. Current age lithium ion batteries aren't harmed from short charging and short cycling like old rechargeable batteries. But they do have a cycle life. It's best to kill and fully charge, but it won't harm it if you don't
