I want my next phone to have a flat screen and some old features back because..

Even though I think my S7 plus is great and the S8 plus stunning. I want a glass screen protector that fits.. and hate throwing money away like most of us on one's that don't work. These phones are nearly a 1000 dollars.. I luv wireless charging but glass back and fronts almost guarantee breakage. Why not flat screens with a minute bezel definitely could look great and give more protection. I also want stereo speakers. I want hdmi support back so I can just plug and play my phone to any TV or projector. I want a bigger or longer lasting battery.. I loved the infra-red.
I guess removable batteries are dead... Great for the customer but not for the companies. Don't see why the batteries can't be inserted like a Sim/memory card thus keeping it waterproof. Just me ranting on.. I even remember on a note 2 I had the option of having the built in email app of a black theme... That's gone too and a great feature that's gone was when you scrolled to the bottom of a page it would continue to scroll based on your eye movement.. I don't want Bixby or the pc option...
Just my ramblings... But probably end up buying the S8 because it looks nice... I'm too have the phone addiction. Wish there was another brand that really offered competition with fast updates. And loads of features.. And good support

You're absolutely right, phones are more expensive now than ever. If a flat screen is what you want, then I would wait to see what others offer. The LG G6 is an example. It has a flat screen with fairly thin bezels and it also offers wireless charging. Don't spend your hard earned money on something you don't truly want.

LG V20 would do you good mate, it fits all you want, or most of it at least.

Wireless Charging on the G6 is region specific, I think in the USA it offers it, but not outside the USA.
