I want to put selected apps into hibernation on Android 12 running on nokia c12 pro model number TA-1562. How to do it?

By hibernation I mean that app does not wake up in background. I know it will miss sending notifications. On Samsung devices Android 13 etc., this feature is called deep sleeping apps.

It seems that only Samsung gives you that kind of granular control.

Closest you can get to "deep sleeping" on a non-Samsung phone is adjusting the battery usage. Settings > Apps > pick an app > Battery. Different manufacturer versions of Android may list a bit differently, but you look for the app battery settings: "unrestricted", "optimized" (which is usually the default), or "restricted". The "restricted" option is closest to putting apps to sleep. That's pretty much the best you can get.

And can't remember when those options even appeared in Android. I think they were there by Android 12.
