i want to stop the auto download of lollipop 5.0. I have a samsung galaxy s4

i do not want to download 5.0, it started and I took the battery out. about a month ago, i encountered the same thing. kept battery out for a couple days and the download went away. rather than wait that long, i want to know what i can do to stop this faster.

There are a few options you can try:
1. Stop the automatic updates from the app store.
2. Stop the automatic updates from your device's settings menu.
You should have 3 options - 1.download and update automatically; 2.Ask before downloading updates; 3. Never download updates.
At least that's the settings I have on my Galaxy S3 mini and Nexus 7 tablet
P.S - If you get your battery under 25% it will not start the OS update automatically. This should help you to avoid it getting updated before you can change the settings.
