I want to use Samsung native email to receive my Gmails. How can I set that up?

I want to use Samsung native email to recieve my Gmails.

When I try to set up my gmail account in the Email section of my Samsung galaxy 6, the Gmail app launches and traps me. Any ideas on how to fix that?

That's probably because you have set it as default at some point in the past.
Go to settings - applications - default applications and tap on the clear button next to the gmail app.
