This is my first android phone and I am happy with my fascinate. There is a few things that would make this phone even better when I dock the phone the 3.5mm jack worked and the GPS was better , when a call comes in it shows it in landscape when in the car dock. Over all this is a great phone and I love it.
Also I am a new to the whole android system and hear people who root their phone can get most of this but I am scare of rooting the phone. should I just wait for froyo to come out or root?

Well as far as froyo goes with the fascinate i would **** in one hand and hope in the other and see which one fills up faster. Considering the fact that most of us have been waiting a lifetime for the update. Verizon is just plain slow and who knows what else with that regard. Rooting can modify your phone to be lightening fast however their def are some risks. I would encourage you to look closely into the rooting section and make sure that you are confident in what you do. Perhaps find a buddy who has done it before.

ROOT!!! you will have a whole different phone. the gps will be spot on. the stupid 3.5 jack in the car dock wont though. all in all, rooting makes your phone really your phone. you can change the look and feel andy time you want.
