I would like to use my Sprint GS3 on Boost Mobile but I dont know how to do it.

I am a new Android user, I bought a Sprint GS3 from a friend and I want to use it on Boost Mobile but I am confuse on how to do it.
is it a straight up process like walking in boost store and have them activate it for me? Please help me...
