I find on certain websites (like the Guardian newspaper website) that, despite me typing the full website address, I am taken to that site's mobile address. This is very frustrating because the mobile site does not contain all the information that the full site contains. I've tried going into the settings of the browsers I have on my Nexus (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and have not been able to find a way of controlling this). Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks.

Under the menu in Chrome click the request desktop site.

get yourself a Nexus 7. you can thank me later.

I would like to see a permanent setting to request desktop all the time instead of having google decide.. One thing I liked about dolphin browser.

There's an add-on for Fox pro that you can install that does just that.

Sent from my Asus Nexus 7.

Another reason opera mobile is my main browser (you can set it to always be a desktop browser).

There is a Firefox extension called Phony, which allows you to change the browsers user agent, set that to Desktop Firefox and you'll always get the desktop sites until you change it back.
