I do wonder how it will look on a phone with buttons, don't really want on screen buttons taking up real estate on my screen.

Just like "Sense" is a launcher for stock android, I'm sure they are going to "skin" it so that the buttons don't appear above the capacitive buttons, and will integrate the capacitive buttons into the software so they work. For them not to take that into consideration would be insane.
