iCloud email and iTunes on Android - Questions

So, I think this is the right place to post this...

Anyhow, so a friend of mine is getting her first smartphone, and at the running right now is a Z3c - but she currently has an iPod with her music on iTunes and an iCloud account. Now, since I've never used iTunes more than enough to personally come to the conclusion it was useless p) and never owned an iDevice and thus never had an iCloud account. I was curious if, to use an iCloud email on Android, you just use the generic email app and sign in there and it should work, correct? Additionally, with iTunes - is it simple, hard, what does it take to switch iTunes music on an iPod to an Android phone? Once again, I've never done anything like this so I really know nothing about doing either of these things.

She should be able to add her iCloud email to the generic email app (or to other email apps) like any other email account.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

I would personally recommend option number 5 found in this how to guide. TL/DR version; just point Google Play Music software at the iTunes Music folder and you're done.
