I'm having trouble changing the icon for facebook in the recent app drawer. I think whatever is not causing the icon to go away is also affecting the performance of the phone. I have have cleared the data/cache in the app and on the phone numerous times. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I don't used that icon pack anymore and it has been uninstalled from the phone for months.

Have you already tried clearing cache for the OnePlus launcher? Which version do you have for this app?

By the way, that's the same icon I have in the Recent apps overview.

I have cleared the cache for facebook, OnePlus Launcher, and the phone. I'm on Android 10. By any chance have you downloaded the Whicons icon app? Their Facebook icon looks just like it and that's the icon pack I used to have. I just received a notification on Facebook and it also looks just like that so maybe it's a Facebook thing. Although the Facebook icon in the recent apps drawer is bigger than all the rest so that tells me it's not supposed to be that way. The performance issue I'm having is lag and ghost animations. I see this lag mostly when I'm scrolling through anything scrollable. I have all my animations turned off via developer options. I see the ghost animations when ever I change pages.

No, i don't use that icon pack, that's the stock icon with OnePlus launcher, nothing wrong there.

Disabling animations in Developer Options can cause some glitches. See if you still have issues with the three values at 1x or 0.5x.

I have many different icon packs that I use with Nova launcher, three of them at the same time. I've never changed the icon pack in the OnePlus launcher, though. Even with Nova as default the Recent apps overview is handled by the stock launcher.

Excellent! Disabling animations completely can cause funny glitches all around.

For example, these are two different icon packs on my home screen. I use a different one, stock, in the app drawer.

I was thinking that it might be an unseen file that is causing the icon not to change and I recall seeing the blue with the white f icon. Now that I have seen you have the same icon in your recent apps and I got that notification it's possible an update changed it to a default Facebook image. But as you can see in the image all my icons have changed to what my icon pack change them to except Facebook. No matter what it always remains the same.
