ICS Facebook contacts / Delete

My razr Maxx with ICS has added all of my facebook friends to my phone contacts but i don't want them added and i had it set to just syn with existing contact's. How can i delete them ?

Open Facebook, click settings button, scroll down & select sync contacts, then select don't sync.

I had to do the same thing on my galaxy s3. It was a mess with all of those contacts.

I deleted my facebook account from my Raszr Maxx and that deleted those 5000 + facebook contacts from my phone book. I then set the facebook account back up on my phone and syn to exsiting phone book contacts and so far so good no trouble. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed.

Help. I don't understand this. I can't delete the FB app from my Rezound (ICS). It seems to be standard bloatware that I actually use on occasion. The contacts are still sync'd with FB. I go into settings--->Accounts&sync--->facebook and made sure all boxes are unchecked (sync calendar, sync contacts, and sync live feed).

Why are my FB contacts still merged with my Google contacts? This drives me crazy. Gingerbread didn't do this.
