ICS rom not taking

Alright guys, bear with me here. My girls Tbolt is running a BAMF GB rom and her battery life was really bad. So I said, lets flash ICS. I downloaded the radio, renamed it to what it needed to be, flashed it twice, then flashed the rom twice. Every time it would load the applications, then the setup wizard would force close causing the phone to freeze and require a battery pull. So I reverted her back to her BAMF through a backup we done, but I left the ICS radio on there, or well, I didnt reflash a GB radio. Now she says when she gets texts her phone restarts everytime. Is this just an error between the radio and rom? Any idea why the setup wizard force closed? I might try to do the NuSense Rom for iCS and see if its the same problems. Any suggestions?

I thought you should flash the ROM first then the radio. As far as I know you only need to flash the rom and radio one time, wiping is recommended twice or more by some but others say once is sufficient. I am about to reflash Nusense 10.8 and see if it works better with the radios Green Laser mentioned in the Nusense thread in this forum.

Piggy-backing off of Devils Advocate, how did you wipe the phone before flashing the new ROM and radio? Did you flash the radio through hboot or recovery? And D.A.'s right, you should only flash the radio once. I'd also only flash the ROM once, and if it doesn't seem right, wipe everything again and re-flash.

Also, after re-reading your post, I do think that if you try running the ICS radios with the GB ROMs, you'll probably run into trouble.

Yeah, like Devils Advocate said, I too think no need to flash both radio and rom twice.
However, I do wipe all three (factory reset, cache partition, dalvik), at least 3 times.

Also, I think her phone might be restarting because of the radio.
Check out the NuSense thread, you can see the radio I have that I got from ssethv.
I was on NuSense 6.4 for a month with that combo radio, and have had zero random restarts. Now on NuSense 10.8, with same combo radios and still feels solid.
Before NuSense I was on bamf forever 1.10 (a GB rom), loved it and the look since I had the Cyan Hot theme flashed, but I had random reboots every 3 days or so, never figured out why, but could be due to the custom kernel I had too (zigg).

I also had the horrible intermittent data problem since June, until I started with NuSense and this combo radio. :-D almost no problems no, much much better, more like the way it should be.

Join us on the NuSense thread, good stuff, I have Gmail app version 4.2... I.E. my Gmail app has pinch to zoom. My tablet (non rooted) that has official JB doesn't even have pinch to zoom (I guess when my tab gets updated to JB v4.2 Gmail will get the update too).

alright thanks guys, I'll give it all a try. Im use to double flashing from my rezound, didnt know if it had to be done on the TBolt.
