My Bionic is fully stocked and hasn't been tampered with. Got the notice to update to ICS a few hours ago. Downloaded it and let it run, not a minute into the installation, the exclamation point shows up next to the droid and the phone reboots. Says the installation failed. Any idea why this is happening? I've tried installing it 4 times and the same thing happens each time. Very annoying. My last resort is a factory rest, haven't tried it yet.

By all means do the reset.....you could have an app causing issues.....may have also gotten a bad download.....good luck....

Same thing here, and I was on the last two soak tests also. The 905 went just fine. I have wiped and erased all memory on my Bionic 3 times and the update still bombs out. Just left a Verizon owned store and the idiot there tells me they should not have made an ICS build for the Bionic, that it hasn't enough memory or processor power to run it and that it will just cause me problems. Nice way of saying don't bother me and life's tough, eh? I guess I just fell off the wagon yesterday! Such a wonderful way to make me want to go back to VZW in the future. If I was in Verizon Corporate and heard this from one of my employees he would be fired so fast his head would swim!

BTW the store is in Jacksonville, FL at Regency if anyone else has a taste for hearing this kind of falteral.

Do the factory reset, I did and it worked.
