Thats a big 10-4 +1 LOL. I find myself knowing more than the CS rep I'm talking to. Which irritates me to a small effect but I do have to talk the talk to get what I need. I think the reps are on a "need to know" basis. Obviously...they don't need to know.

I'm on 4.0.4 and I'm seeing a really big difference in radio,I'm at my Girlfriend house which is a dead zone and I'm getting 2 bars,so I guess it improved a little.

no rep you talk to at verizon knows anything and if they do they will never tell you the truth

The guy I was speaking to is a tier 2 technical support and he has a GNex himself. He told me he had flashed the leaked 4.0.3 and had heard that 4.0.4 had been leaked but told me that was him talking and not VZW. He said if there had been any official push of 4.0.4, they are notified before an OTA update is pushed so that they can be ready to assist customers if there are problems, which I am sure is true. I can't imagine that VZW starts pushing an OTA update and leaves their tier 2 technical support people in the dark about it.

Again, I'm not denying that what you were told was true, in this case... just saying regardless of what tier they are most reps don't know what they're talking about >90% of the time. Its more of a forewarning to just take everything you're told by them with a grain of salt and healthy skepticism.. "tier 2" is meaningless word to me, lol.. lots of folks throw out that they spoke to a tier 2 rep like this is some kind of all-knowing entity when they are quite often wrong about a lot of things.

I'm not trying to bash you at all, I thank you for looking into it and sharing the info you were told, just advising to always be skeptical and don't believe everything any rep tells you

Agreed, but I would have to say a level 2 who not only owns a GN, but also rooted and ROM'ed it with a 4.0.3 ROM instantly gains creditably with me.

Very true. I don't open up to techs for the reason of them just not being on the same page. Its nice to hear that there are insiders at vzw
