I'd like to know if a data only sim card from project fi would work in this phone?

I've got a samsung galaxy S7 edge on Verizon. I'd like to know if a data only sim card from project fi would work in this phone? Im inclined to say yes because project fi works on both gsm and cdma. I realize I wouldn't be able to make calls through the dailer, but I should be able to use data. Anyone have this working?
