I got this phone few weeks back. It was fine until yday night. Since then battery is draining 1% for every 1 minute. Restarted in safe mode, deleted few apps, set to battery saver mode but no change in battery status. Any idea why?. Earlier I used to get 30-40hrs per charge with normal usage (I am not a heavy gamer) with low brightness and mostly with WIFI only (not much data usage).

Any help on this would be great. I am still within 30 days period to return the phone if battery is really defective.

Hello, welcome to the forums! Check in your battery stats which apps are on top of the list. You could take screenshots of the main screen and the history details after you tap on the graph and post them here.

Your stats indicate a couple of things.

The awake bar is pretty much solid. It means you have some heavy background process running all the time. Check the sync settings in your gallery app, cloud storage, etc.

Clean Master is using a lot of battery. This kind of app can give you more problems than help. I would uninstall it.

Thanks.. Couldnt find any app that consuming heavy background process. Did a reset just now and re-configuring all now.. Will update if there is any improvement.

Its very weird now.. Do you think battery is defective?... Installed very basic apps after reset.. Still battery drains at alarming rates. sometimes 90 to 86% in 10mins then stays at for hrs together. Also not able to charge to 100%. taking forever. See the attachment.. its at 29% whole night with minimal usage..
Installed another battery app just to see % is correct..

Also noticed when I kept for charging, it switches off completely. With charger plugged in, it wont turn on.. Had to remove the charger and wait for 2-3 mins to turn it on. You can see that in screenshot too..

Any updates from anyone on this?.. Now phone restarts every day (1-2 times) particularly when using camera app. Draining also continues. So its time to return then...

Alcatel.. u lost one customer and many more in coming days..
