if I buy the Verizon insurance on my GN, does it cover theft?
I think it's 7 or 8 bucks a month additional?

now that I think about it, if someone breaks my car's windows and steal my Galaxy Nexus,
will my auto insurance cover it?

Or is there another mobile phone insurance that covers theft?

You would have to report it as lost, and normally pay the $100 or whatever set deductible is for replacement.

Some auto insurance may cover this, ask your agent.

Well, you'll have to pay the deductible regardless. But yes, the Asurion coverage also includes theft or loss. And their deductible is going to be lower than anything you can get on your auto insurance. (My auto insurance covers it, and the deductible is $500. My property insurance also covers it, and that deductible is $250, I believe)

Speaking out of experience:

-Some places won't let you have cellphones on you, even if its off.
-If my phone is plugged in to power and my head unit, and I just need to run in some place for a quick stop, I'll just leave my phone.
