If I factory reset my phone, can I set it up with a different/new Google account?

I want to migrate to a new account, but I’m unsure if this is an option or if it will cause issues with the Play Store

Welcome to Android Central! Yes, you can set it up with a different Google account. Be aware, though, that any data that was associated with your previous Google account will not be synced with the phone.

You can also add an account to the phone, and then remove the old one without a data reset.

I don't know what issues this would cause, but it should be fun finding out.
