I would recommend it because as my wife experienced on her s5 and I experienced on my first screen protector on my note 4, if a small piece of dirt gets between the cover and the screen, it doesn't take much case movement to scratch it.

I also have the S Flip case and kept my glass protector. Glad I did because I dropped it on concrete and the protector got a tiny chip near the corner, but the screen was unharmed.

Disagree. If you purchase a decent tempered glass screen protector, it will close just fine. I've used the combination on two phones now. Both protectors have been iloome.

I don't use a flip cover for this phone yet but I did for the s4 s5 and note 3. There r tons of reports of people out there that didn't put one on and dirt got between the screen and cover and scratched the screen.
