If i have the original rom before any OTA updates (havent installed any of the OTAs)

Will Simpleroot work for me?

I have the original one click Unrevoked on my evo, havent installed any updates at all.

I have read all the root methods are for the 1.47 ota, and i dont even have that, so can i still use the Simpleroot solution with Nand?
