if I root my phone, will I loose all my apps and data?

I have a samsung galaxy s6 and I want to root it. If I do, will I loose all my apps and data and is there a way to copy apps and data to my pc to move back to phone once rooted? i have an app called solid explorer, but i can't seem to find my app and data files. Any and all help is greately appreciated.

Not really. If you use the Kingroot apk, you won't lose anything at all. And it's easy to use, just search for it on Google, install it on your phone and run it. You must have your data on for it to work. It would void your warranty though but I'm guessing you won't be needing it, Lols.

If something goes wrong, the answer is yes. Best bet is you visit XDA and read the relevant forum for your S6... they're separated by carrier.
