If I tore the bar code off box can I still return it.

I own a Droid and needed to buy a BB for work. I got the BB directly from VZ and was about to send in the rebate but decided that I want the X much more. With the Bar Code torn off but still in my possession, do you think that VZ would let me return the phone with the removed barcode but still with the box. I am within the 30 day return period. I am thru with BB's for good. I want to replace/add a X to my system.

They'll just take the rebate off of what they give you back.

I still have the barcode and the rebate info with me. I was just needed to know if they would accept it since the barcode has been torn off but enclosed with the phone.

I would call them and ask. It doesnt cost anything if you dial *611, and Im sure they will have the correct answer.

I called VZ and they said since I had the barcode, I could send the BB back. I did already fill out the rebate form but did not send it in. I enclosed it in the box with the phone that I returned. I hope that is OK. So now to wait to see if they give me credit and not mess up my upgrade date so I can get the MOTO-X. NO more BB for me. Use my Droid until I can get the X.
