If I use my AT&T sim card from my Note 2 in a Nexus 5....

will I get all the AT&T bloatware?

Will AT&T know what device I'm using?

I've had my Note since March and am thinking of getting a Nexus 5. Not 100% sure yet because of the screen size difference. I really like the bigger screen. But I can't stand all the bloatware and hate waiting for both Samsung and AT&T to release updates.

So before I buy the Nexus 5 I wanted to check here to see what I will be in for if anything.

Thanks in advance.

No. Bloat is put on by AT&T before you ever get the phone. They have no access to that once you have a Nexus 5.

You aren't buying the phone from AT&T, so AT&T won't have anything installed on it...

And as long as your Note has an LTE plan, pop it's SIM card in the Nexus and you will be good to go!

What's weird is I have the At&t bloatware...lol when I first set up my phone It asked if I wanted to restore it and I said yes...so I guess that's why I have a few AT&T apps.

So your note 2 was set to backup to googles servers. (This backs up wifi settings and the apps you use etc)

When you set up the nexus 5 you probably chose the same option. Sounds like it downloaded all the bloat ware that ATT has on the previous device that's also in the Play store.
