If pinch to zoom is available in europe can an app be made for the US?

Hello, as with most of you I am very excited about the release of the droid and have 2 reserved for myself and my wife

Im not sure how app's work on the droid but does anyone think that an app could be made to allow pinch to zoom over the double tap method?

That's one big thing i was wondering too.. I really like that aspect of the Eris.

I would think so , the fact that the one accross the pond is going to have it means its capable ... so it can be done im assuming ... now i just want to know if i can run sense UI on my droid

I would assume so. That's the joy of open source, but the same things have happened on WinMo phones when a feature wasn't released on one, but on another, people always figure a way to get it on the missing phone.

Since I'm assuming they have the same hardware (minus the changes to make it GSM) they should support it on both as far as "can it do it".
