if someone offered you their X for your Inc?

I probably would because my sausage fingers would like the size, but I love the dinc.

The Devour should not even carry the Android name in my opinion. That phone is such garbo in every single aspect. I am ashamed to even say that it is Android. But anyways, back onto topic. I have a Eris, Moto Droid, Droid Incredible and Droid X. Sense UI is without a doubt the best UI a phone company makes HANDS DOWN! Touchwiz and Motoblur both suck in my opinion (Touchwiz is REALLY REALLY BAD)! What I don't get is why Motorola didn't let Google handle the software part and just make hardware. They did that with the original Droid and that's what helped it be so successful. There is NO WAY that the Droid X will sell as much as the original Droid. They added all that Blur crap AND locked the bootloader which makes the whole underground Android community just not even really look at it. But my point is the Droid Incredible is without a doubt better then the Droid X. I have both, I compare them both all the time. The Incredible is more snappy and has a lot better UI.

I currently have the Evo, Incredible and the X although I wont be able to keep all three together for long the Incredible by far is the fastest and smoothest of the 3. I would hands down say the Incredible is the best one just from a performance standpoint. Now I'm not saying its the best overall as thats a matter of opinion and screen size makes a big difference to some as does FFC or HDMI and such. BUT strictly from a performance standpoint and touchscreen responsiveness the incredible is far better than the other 2 I mentioned..

Nope. I went to the Verizon store this week at my last day of my 30 days on the DInc to see if I would want to switch to the X. It just wasn't as snappy and fluid as the DInc and Sense just blows away what's on the X (Motoblur or whatever?). Speaker isn't as loud either...

Agree with this completely..Weird as I thought the X speaker was going to blow the Dinc's out of the water and it came nowhere even close...

wow! this threads growing fast haha. last week i was at a buddies house and he had gotten the X. i showed him mine and he said the dInc is what he really wanted. while i was admiring the phone (cuz after all it is a beautiful piece of technology) he said he would trade me phones. i just laughed and shrugged it off, never once takin the offer seriously. he had a cover on it and the thing was a freaking brick house! after all, it does need to fit in my pocket....

I've just never really cared for the interface that Motorola uses. Despite all the insults by Moto fans, I think HTC Sense is fantastic. The hardware of the Inc is damn well good enough, too (for a year or 2).

The ONLY time I ever thought about getting the X was the last week of waiting for it to ship(my Dinc). If there had been a delay in shipping I'd have switched it to the X mainly just to be able to have a phone I ordered in less than 3 weeks. But my intent was to always end up with this phone no matter what I had to do get it(within reason). I just was going to hang onto an X until I was able to get an Incredible. Heck the name's even better. What does X stand for anyway? I'm not hating on it. I just don't dont like how industrial it looks, same with the Motodroid. The look is just too generic or something. I don't have an issue with its size or anything. I just don't like the way it looks period. YMMV :) But its still Android.

I actually just bought the x because I couldn't wait long enough for the incredible, but now that it is in stock I will most likely be getting the dinc today because sense is by far the best ui and I love the design. The screen size on the x is nice, but it's just too big to carry around in a normal sized pocket.

well if anyone is interested i think i'd prefer the droid x over the incredible because my fingers are pretty big. if anyone would like to trade i wouldn't' mind

i like the bigger screen (dunno how it would feel in my pockets though), but i've played with the Droid X. it is laggy. not nearly as smooth as the Incredible. I also prefer the soft touch buttons versus the physical buttons at the bottom. The physical buttons on the bottom of the Droid X just seems like a hassle to push compared to the soft touch buttons on the Incredible.

I played with my friend's X today for three hours. There is absolutely NO WAY I'd trade my Incredible for an X! The Motorola isn't as fast or as smooth, by far. I hated the ring tones (I know that's fixable but why should you have to?) and the screen, even though it's a nice size, doesn't even start to compare with the Samsung Amoled screen. Oh, and one more thing.... I checked both phones at the same time in the same places for signal strength. Mine DI would read -92 when the X would read -96 consistently. Not too much difference but when you live out in the sticks like I do, every little dBm counts! There really was only one thing I liked better on the X and that was the keyboard. The screen is just large enough to make hitting the correct key easier. That's it.

I dunno. I think I'd make the trade. Having a larger space to type or swype would be really beneficial for me. In addition, I'd like the extra space for the controls in emulator games.
