IF we get froyo.... (just some install questions)

So when froyo is out, it will be available over the air to download.
However, is this the best way to do it?
Or should the phone be wiped clean.... then install the update manually somehow?
I have not rooted my phone or anything...its just like i bought it. except with tons of apps

Also is there any other things to be preparing for when the update launches? Like should i backup everything or will it do that for me?

You shouldn't have any issues with an OTA install, however, being on WiFi would be best...

The phone shouldn't need a wipe... It should just install and keep existing settings and apps... I stress "should"...

Whenever you do an update of any kind, you should back up any important data... That's a given.

It it's anything like the update we got right after the phone came out, you click on one button to accept the update, and the phone will take care of everything else.

Backups are always a good idea.
