I am trying to verify someone else's battery testing and overheat issues and would like to get some input from you.

What size SD CARD are you using?

32gb, 64gb, or 128gb?

Maybe no SD CARD at all?

Let me know so I can pin point the heat issue with mine.

I have a tiny 2 gig SD card in my phone that I got with a blackberry like 5 years ago. No overheating issues at all with my G3.

64GB Samsung class 10.

I'm getting great temps, 29-41C.

I had a 128GB and it kept jamming and overheating the phone but it was a cheap $16 eBay card. I have a Sandisk 128GB class 10 ordered ($65) and it should come any day now. Will keep you posted. Meanwhile my 64GB Sandisk works fine.

No SD card for me. No heat issues whatsoever. My phone stays around 85 degrees. Maybe get to 95 or 100 if I am playing a graphics intensive game or using Google maps..

128 GB sandisk class 10 came over to the phone on day 1 (about 1 month ago) from my Galaxy Note 3. No overheating for me

Let me know what your CPU temperatures are like when you get the 128.

Thanks for the input everyone, I have narrowed it down to the phone.
At first I removed the 128 sd card and it worked better playing a you tube video for almost 2hours straight.
I would be lucky to get through a phone call when the sd card was in.
Later however the phone rebooted on its own without the sd card in it.
So it seems its not the cheap 128gb card I got and its the phone.
I should be getting my new phone on Monday.

Please keep posting your cards used and cpu temperature.

Any battery heating up to 140F is a bad battery just so you know.

In my experience, the phone rebooting on it's own isn't just a G3 issue (note - it's happened once with my G3 while I was tinkering with Zooper Widget, phone was not hot or warm at the time, just froze up and restarted).

I've had this happened with numerous android devices. It happened with my Galaxy S3, also with my G2, as well as with my GF's Nook tablet. I'd like it say it's because of my cheap 2 gig SD card but the card hasn't been in all of those devices when it's happened.
