If you go into a verizon store make sure to check your bill

I went into the verizon store to have my phone number changed, I told the guy I only wanted to do it if I got to keep my unlimited data plan...he said sure can...after about 45 min he finally finished, well I just got my bill today and the #%$# gave me a 4gb plan for 30$ a month and added some insurance plan which I said I did not want.... just called verizon and told them I want my old number back if they are going to take away my unlimited data... she gave it back and took out the insurance thing....man you have to double check everything they guys do at the store!!!

Wow my girls' been telling me get my number changed cause I keep getting spam calls/texts. I say no because I'm sure some clueless Rep will F the whole thing up and ill lose unlimited data.

How can they change your data plan just because you changed your phone number? I don't consider this to be a change of service nor do I see how they could.

Go online and do it urself. It even gives you options on area codes.

Like OP; I've had the insurance added to the bill despite telling them no. Verizon always takes it off when brought to their attention.

I'm wondering just how many times this works for them. The customer sees the insurance charge after the fact and thinks it's too much bother to cancel or "Oh well, it's there and I guess I need it." And, the customer that never looks at their bill details.
