If you're interested how big Google is...

That is impressive... but like the fine print states, amazon, yahoo and microsoft don't publicize their numbers. I would suspect yahoo and amazon definitely don't compete, but I'd be interested on how many Microsoft has, they should have a hefty amount allocated just to gaming.

Not really. I'm pretty sure XBOX LIVE is hosted on users machines and not set up like MMO's which utilize world servers. This is why most console games have a limit to multiplayer (4-16) The same applies to non MMO PC games where one machine will host a session in multiplayer.

I'm sure with Bing now though, microsoft has a ton of servers, but still no where close to Google.

Incorrect. The servers are Microsoft's. This is the main reason the charge a fee. I don't play any video systems, but I would imagine a couple lawsuits or at least angry customers if they charged for users to host the servers. It is run and maintained by Microsoft. Of course, I could be wrong as I'm not a console gamer, but this wouldn't work well with users if that was the case.

Also with that said, I who has more servers? Everything Google does is through the cloud, but Xbox Live is huge and kind of makes up for MS not being in the clouds as much as Google is with every product they have. Also, MS seems to be heading in that direction now.
