So, last week I found a deal on an iPhone 4 that I couldn't pass up. I figured I'd get it and use it for a couple of weeks just to see if I really hated iOS as much as I remembered. I figured I could either pass the iPhone down to my wife or pop it back on craigslist for a small profit.

When I got the iPhone I had to get a new microsim and figured I'd have a week or so to order the adapter to get back to my Atrix. This all occurred a week ago today. By last Thursday morning I was on amazon ordering a sim card apapter. Thankfully it showed up today!

iOS5 was slow and laggy and that stupid excuse for a notification area is for the birds. Is it really too much to ask for a little envelope or text icon to show on the top bar when you turn the screen on? I had to turn the screen on, unlock the phone and then pull down the notification bar to see what I missed.

The GPS is a joke. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to use Google maps as my GPS/navigation/turn by turn.

There are so many intangibles to the android OS that I don't think apple will ever be able to get right or figure out.

About the only thing I could customize on the phone was the wallpaper.

I had the iPhone 2g and the 3g and got my first android in the Nexus One and swore I'd never go back. I'm now on my 2nd android...the Atrix. This time I mean it...I will never go back to iOS! The only decision I'm left with now is do I go ahead and pick up one of the new 4G androids from AT&T or wait on the Galaxy Nexus to show up at AT&T? Decisions decisions decisions!

Is it available fro sale? I need a replacement phone for my wife, I have a mint 32 GB HP Touchpad running CM7 with your name on it......I have good feedback on here, XDA, Precentral, and eBay all on the same user name....

The iOS Maps application uses Google's map data, but is not a Google Map application. It is developed by Apple and is mistakenly assumed to be Google Maps by users.
The iOS Maps application is not as advanced as Android Google Maps and also doesn't offer turn by turn directions. To get navigation and turn by turn directions, you'll need to purchase a GPS app like TomTom or Navigon.

I was playing with iphone 4s yesterday at the Sprint store, and noticed that text reflow still nonexistant in Safari (among many other things) I think this is a major flaw especially on such a small display. I do love my ipad 2 though. And it doesnt have text reflow in the browser either but the big display somewhat compensates that. I could point out a few other things in iOS 5 which I don't like at all. but I think today's android honeycomb tablets are so unfinished, unpolished and laggy and iPAd is clearly a winner here. however I will not consider getting an iphone because Android beats iphone in many many aspects. I am waiting for ICS and quad core tablets in the next year and really hope they will be as perfect as high-end android phones today. (like my Atrix for example) The latest tablet that Motorola released a few days ago is a joke.... But I love my Atrix as much as my iPad at this moment and time of the year. What next year will bring for us? I'm eager to see....
